PACAP-Related Peptide (Cat. No. 350324) corresponds to aa81-128 region of rat PACAP prohormone. Pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP) is a 19-kDa prohormone (175 aa in rat) processed into PACAP-related peptide (PRP-48, aa81-128), PACAP-27 (aa131-157) and PACAP-38 (aa131-168). PACAP stimulates adenylate cyclase in pituitary cells, playing pivotal roles as neurotransmitter and neuromodulator.
