PIM1, a CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase, plays a role in signal transduction in blood cells. PIM1 contributes to both cell proliferation and survival, providing a selective advantage in tumerogenesis. PIM1 is strongly induced in leukocytes by the JAK/STAT pathway in response to cytokines.The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200120 is selected from a sequence within the C-term region of human PIM1. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
