SDHB catalyzes the formation of fumarate from succinate. SDBH forms part of complex II containing four subunits: a flavoprotein, an iron-sulfur protein and a cytochrome b composed of two integral membrane proteins. Defects in SDBH are a cause of pheochromocytoma, an adrenal medulla cancer.The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200141 is selected from a sequence within the N-term region of human SDHB. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
