Parafibromin (CDC73) is a tumor suppressor involved in transcriptional and post-transcriptional control pathways, such as cell cycle progression through the regulation of cyclin D1/PRAD1 expression. Defects in CDC73 are the cause of parathyroid gland tumors.The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200155 is selected from a sequence within the C-term region of human parafibromin. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
