Splicing factor SC35 (SC35) is necessary for the splicing of pre-mRNA by forming the earliest ATP-dependent splicing complex and interacting with spliceosomal components bound to the 5'- and 3'-splice sites during spliceosome assembly. SC35 is used to detect nuclear speckles or interchromatin granule clusters.The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200181 is selected from a sequence within the C-term region of human SC35. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
