Calpain 5 is a calcium regulated non-lysosomal thiol-protease which catalyzes limited proteolysis of substrates involved in cytoskeletal remodeling and signal transduction.The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200195 is selected from a sequence within the C-term region of Calpain-5. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
