产品背景Description
The organic anion transporter 1 (OAT-1 or SLC22A6) is localized to the basolateral membrane of renal tubular epithelial cells and plays a critical role in the excretion and detoxification of anionic compounds. OAT-1 functions as organic anion exchanger when the uptake of one molecule of organic anion is coupled with an efflux of one molecule of endogenous dicarboxylic acid (glutarate, ketoglutarate, etc). OAT-1 mediates the sodium-independant uptake of 2,3-dimercapto-1-propanesulfonic acid (DMPS), p-aminohippurate (PAH), ochratoxin (OTA), acyclovir (ACV) and many other organic compounds.
